This recipe makes about 20 cookies

4oz butter (110g)
1 egg, beaten
4oz soft brown sugar (110g)
2oz toasted chopped nuts (50g)
3oz plain flour (75g) - Note: must be plain flour, not self raising.
1/2 tspn. Vanilla essence
and your 1/8th of an ounce of the evil green stuff (about 5 grams)

prep. time ~15 minutes
cooking time ~25 minutes

pre-heat oven to: 150 centigrade (gas mark 2) (300 Farenheit)

1) beat the powdered hash, butter and sugar together, until mixture is light and fluffy.
2) Beat in the egg and the vanilla essence, add the remaining ingredients and stir until thorougly mixed.
3) scoop up lumps of the cookie dough, roll them into ping-pong ball sized round, then arrange them on baking trays. allow plenty of space as the dough will expand in the oven. flatten the balls into cookie shapes.
4)Bake your cookies in the centre of an oven for about 25 minutes or until they become golden brown, and feel firm to the touch.
5) after baking, quickly transfer the cookies onto a wire rack to cool. Store the cookies in an airtight container.
